The term Navgraha (Sanskrit: नवग्रह) literally means "nine celestial bodies" or "nine seizers." In Vedic cosmology, each Graha (planet) is not merely an astronomical body but a cosmic force that seizes or influences human consciousness and destiny. Unlike Western astrology's focus on the Sun, Vedic astrology places equal or greater emphasis on the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and the shadow planets Rahu and Ketu.
The Nine Navgraha
Sun (Surya)

Moon (Chandra)

Venus (Shukra)
