Kumbh Vivah is a symbolic marriage ritual prescribed in ancient Vedic texts as a remedy for strong Manglik Dosh or other severe astrological afflictions that could adversely affect a human marriage. In this ceremony, the afflicted person is first married to a Kumbh (earthen pot), a banana tree, or a peepal tree — objects believed to absorb the negative planetary karma — before proceeding with the actual wedding. The ritual effectively neutralises the dosh, allowing the subsequent marriage to proceed free from astrological burden.
Our Kumbh Vivah ceremony is performed with full Vedic vidhi by senior priests who specialise in remedial astrology. The ceremony includes a complete Shodashopachara Puja, Ganesh Puja, Navgrah Puja, Mangal Shanti homa, and the symbolic Saptapadi (seven steps) around the sacred fire with the Kumbh. A detailed Sankalp is taken in the person's name, gotra, and nakshatra. The ritual concludes with the symbolic dissolution of the Kumbh, formally closing the marriage and releasing the dosh.
The ceremony typically takes four to five hours and can be performed at our Varanasi centre, at a Shiva temple from our network, or virtually with your participation via live video. Recommended especially before a non-Manglik alliance when the chart shows a severe or poorna Manglik placement.
A puja certificate with the priest's seal is dispatched after the ceremony.
