Bhagvat Katha

Shrimad Bhagvatam, one of the eighteen Mahapuranas, is considered the crown jewel of all Vedic literature — the direct expression of the divine in narrative form. The Bhagvat Katha is a seven-day immersive programme in which a trained Kathavachak recites, explains, and brings to life the twelve skandhas of the Bhagvatam for a continuous seven-day period. The format combines Sanskrit shloka recitation with vivid storytelling, devotional music, and philosophical exposition, making it equally accessible to the scholar and the layperson. The Katha covers the creation of the universe, the stories of Prahlad and Dhruva, the ten avatars of Vishnu, the life of Krishna from birth to Vrindavan, and culminates in the Bhagvat Mahatmya — the glory of the text itself. Listening to the full Katha is said to purify seven generations of ancestors, grant moksha, remove all sins, and fulfill sincere heartfelt desires. Organising a Bhagvat Katha requires significant advance planning — a venue, dias, sound system, seating, prasad arrangement, and the right Kathavachak — all coordinated over seven consecutive days. For this reason, we handle bookings through enquiry to correctly scope the event based on expected attendance, venue, location, and dates. We support both residential (home or community hall) and open-air arrangements. Our Kathavachaks are certified, experienced, and available in Hindi with regional language support upon request. --- ✓ Seven-day programme with certified Kathavachak ✓ Sound, stage, and logistics coordination available ✓ Custom scoping and quotation through enquiry
